Governance360, the simple to use board governance portal for smaller organisations, today announces the achievement of Cyber Essentials Plus certification, the UK government-backed scheme that provides independent verification of an organisation’s cyber security controls.
Cyber Essentials Plus is the highest tier of the Cyber Essentials framework, requiring hands-on technical verification by an accredited assessor. The certification confirms that Governance360’s systems are protected against the most common forms of cyber attack, providing customers with independent assurance that their data is held securely. Governance360’s certification can be verified directly on the IASME Certified Organisations Register.
Clive Bawden, Director of Governance360, commented: “Our customers are directors and trustees who rely on us to hold sensitive organisational information — board papers, risk registers, action plans and governance records. Many are volunteers managing governance responsibilities alongside other commitments, and they trust us to keep that data safe. Achieving Cyber Essentials Plus is our commitment, independently verified, that we take that responsibility seriously. For organisations where good governance is already a stretch, the last thing anyone needs is a data security concern on top of everything else.”
The certification adds to Governance360’s growing credentials as a trusted platform for organisations seeking to improve governance outcomes without the complexity or cost of enterprise-level solutions. For more on our inforrmation security credentials see our policy page here.
