Governance360, the simple to use board governance portal for smaller organisations, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jason Rees as Chair of its Board of Directors, with effect from December 2024.
Jason is a highly experienced technology business leader with a career spanning software and technology, B2B SaaS, and climate tech. A former CEO with a track record of guiding businesses through growth-to-exit and turnaround, he brings substantial strategic and commercial expertise to the role. He currently serves as a Venture Partner with Vireo Ventures, a UK and Ireland-focused venture fund specialising in electrification and sustainable B2B ventures, as well as holding a number of non-executive director positions.
New Chair Appointment
“We are delighted to welcome Jason as Chair. His depth of experience – both as a founder and investor – gives him a genuine understanding of the pressures facing the boards of smaller organisations. Many of the people running those boards are not governance specialists: they are business leaders, charity trustees, and volunteers doing their best with limited time and resource. Jason shares our conviction that they deserve better tools, and his guidance will be invaluable as we scale.” – Clive Bawden, Founder of Governance360
“Governance360 is addressing a genuine gap in the market. Smaller organisations – whether charities, social enterprises, or growing SMEs – carry real governance responsibilities but rarely have the resource to manage them well. The platform makes it straightforward to do the right things consistently, without adding to the administrative burden. I’m looking forward to working with the team to help more organisations benefit from that.” – Jason Rees, Chair, Governance360
