Governance360, the simple to use board governance portal for smaller organisations, has been selected to join the Amazon Innovation Accelerator (AIA) — a highly competitive programme open to small businesses across the UK.
The programme is organised by Be the Business and delivered in partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS), providing participants with direct access to Amazon’s innovation frameworks, senior business leaders, and a peer community of ambitious SMEs.
Selection for Amazon Innovation Accelerator for Governance360
The Amazon Innovation Accelerator is designed to give small business leaders a structured environment to identify and develop practical innovation within their operations, products, or services. Participants work through Amazon’s Working Backwards methodology — a customer-first approach to problem-solving — and gain behind-the-scenes access to Amazon’s fulfilment operations to observe world-class innovation and productivity practices at scale. The programme concludes with the opportunity to apply for a share of a £100,000 Innovation Grant to bring ideas to life.
Selection for Amazon Innovation Accelerator was a through, competitive application process, joining a cohort of businesses committed to growth and innovation. Sessions on the programme are being led by Charlene Manning and Dominic Marks from AWS, with the programme organised by Be the Business under the leadership of its Chief Executive, Anthony Impey MBE.
Clive Bawden, Director of Governance360, commented: “Being selected for the Amazon Innovation Accelerator is a real milestone for us. We work with boards and committees who are managing governance and risk alongside everything else they do — often as volunteers, with limited time and no specialist background. Our job is to make that easier, more effective, and less of a burden. Having the opportunity to work through Amazon’s innovation frameworks, learn from their leaders, and connect with other forward-thinking businesses is exactly the kind of challenge that will help us sharpen how we develop and deliver that.”
He added: “We’re grateful to Anthony and the team at Be the Business for organising such a well-structured programme, and to Charlene and Dominic at AWS for the quality of the sessions. We’re looking forward to making the most of it, starting with the first onsite visit to an Amazon facility on Friday 20th March 2026.”
